So much has been written about this image. The bird represents peace but the smoke coming from its beak means it’s likely to develop cancer. The bird is still singing a song but the notes come out all jumbled. We’re told it’s OK but the date is 1980. Is it still OK? How can we know?
This is where the mystery of the Shimp really comes into play. An almost entirely blank sheet with just an invented town in a city that doesn’t exist in that country. What is he trying to tell us?
